On November 1st, an avalanche occurred on a mountain peak in the northern region of Italy, resulting in the deaths of 5 German mountaineers. According to reports from the Italian news agency ANSA, at around 4 pm local time on the 1st, an avalanche occurred on the north slope of the Wetterstein peak in the Alps in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy. German tourists who were climbing were swept away by the snow, with 3 people dying on the spot and 2 people missing. After a night of searching, rescue personnel found the bodies of the two missing individuals in the avalanche area on the morning of the 2nd, confirming that they were a father and daughter, with the daughter being 17 years old. Local rescue departments are reminding that the recent rise in temperatures in the area has made the snow unstable, increasing the risk of mountain activities. They are calling on mountaineers and skiers to closely monitor snow conditions and weather warnings, and to avoid going to high-risk areas.
