The inaugural meeting of the new Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences and the consultation meeting of experts for the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" were held.

On October 31, the inaugural meeting of the new Academic Committee of the China National Institute of Education Sciences and the expert consultation meeting on the "Fifteen-Five" planning were held in Beijing. Wang Jiayi, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Education, Vice Minister, and Inspector of Education, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting affirmed the landmark achievements of the China National Institute of Education Sciences during the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period in the research of the education power index, support for major policy formulation, construction of an independent knowledge system of Chinese education, and the construction of the digital Institute of Education. The meeting pointed out that the scientific establishment of the Academic Committee is a key measure for the China National Institute of Education Sciences to "base itself on academics," which will surely gather the wisdom of education research nationwide and inject strong academic energy into the construction of an education power. The meeting emphasized that during the "Fifteen-Five" period, the China National Institute of Education Sciences should rely on the new Academic Committee, adhere to the political, people-centric, and strategic attributes of education, actively promote organized scientific research, focus on core issues of "central concern, social attention, and public concern," optimize the research ecology, strengthen implementation safeguards, and build a comprehensive education research system. At the meeting, Wang Jiayi presented a letter of appointment to Gu Mingyuan, honorary member of the Academic Committee and senior professor at Beijing Normal University. The newly established China National Institute of Education Sciences' Education Power Index Research Center, Education Equity Research Center, and Science Education Research Center were simultaneously established.
