In the first three quarters, China's smartphone production reached 881 million units.

On October 31, it was learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that in the first three quarters of this year, the production of China's electronic information manufacturing industry grew rapidly. Among them, the output of smartphones reached 881 million units, an increase of 1% compared to the same period last year. The data shows that in the first three quarters, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above a certain scale increased by 10.9% year-on-year, with growth rates 4.7 and 1.3 percentage points higher than the industrial sector and high-tech manufacturing sector respectively. Among the main products, the output of mobile phones was 1.11 billion units; the output of microcomputer devices was 251 million units, unchanged from the previous year; and the output of integrated circuits was 381.9 billion pieces, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year. In addition, in the first three quarters, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above a certain scale increased by 2.1% year-on-year. The operating income of the electronic information manufacturing industry above a certain scale reached 12.5 trillion yuan, an 8.8% increase year-on-year; operating costs were 10.9 trillion yuan, an 8.8% increase year-on-year; and the total profit was 493.8 billion yuan, a 12% increase year-on-year.
