The Shanghai Futures Exchange has released the stainless steel and hot rolled coil futures contracts and detailed business rules.

"Shanghai Futures Exchange Stainless Steel Futures Contract" "Shanghai Futures Exchange Hot Rolled Coil Futures Contract" "Shanghai Futures Exchange Stainless Steel Futures Business Rules" "Shanghai Futures Exchange Hot Rolled Coil Futures Business Rules" have been reviewed and approved by the Shanghai Futures Exchange Council and reported to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and are now being published and will be implemented from November 20, 2025. Starting from November 20, 2025, delivery against warehouse receipts shall be allowed for stainless steel produced in accordance with the JIS G 4305: 2021 production standard. Starting from May 20, 2026, stainless steel produced in accordance with the JIS G 4305: 2012 standard shall not be allowed to be deposited and made into standard warehouse receipts. However, previously made standard warehouse receipts can still be used for delivery against futures contracts. Starting from November 20, 2025, delivery against warehouse receipts shall be allowed for hot rolled coil produced in accordance with the JIS G 3101-2024 standard. Starting from May 20, 2026, hot rolled coil produced in accordance with the JIS G 3101-2015 standard shall not be allowed to be deposited and made into standard warehouse receipts. However, previously made standard warehouse receipts can still be used for delivery against futures contracts.
