In the first ten months of this year, the tourism market in 14 prefecture-level cities in Xinjiang showed strong growth, with the number of tourists visiting Xinjiang increasing by 31.12% year-on-year, ranking first in the country. Urumqi, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, and Kashgar Prefecture are among the top in terms of the proportion of tourists received. In terms of the source of tourists, the post-80s and post-90s generations are the main consumers of tourism. Guangdong, Beijing, Sichuan, Henan, and Shandong are the top five provinces and cities in terms of the source of tourists visiting Xinjiang. In terms of inbound tourism, the number of tourists and the amount of consumption in China's Hong Kong, China's Taiwan, and Malaysia rank in the top three, with Southeast Asian countries and Central Asian countries becoming important source markets for inbound tourism in Xinjiang.
