National Development and Reform Commission: Xiong'an New Area has made important progress in relocating non-capital functions from Beijing, which will promote the implementation of a new batch of relocation projects.
Li Chao, deputy director of the Policy Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission and spokesperson, stated at a press conference on October 31 that Xiong'an New Area is the concentrated area for the relocation of non-capital functions from Beijing. It has now entered a stage of large-scale construction and receiving of relocated functions. Recently, Beijing Union Medical College Hospital National Medical Center has started construction, China National Chemical Corporation and China Huaneng Group have officially moved their headquarters to Xiong'an, and universities such as Beijing Jiaotong University and Peking University People's Hospital Xiong'an Campus are accelerating their construction. It can be said that the relocation of non-capital functions from Beijing has made significant progress. At the same time, the National Development and Reform Commission will also work with relevant parties to promote the implementation of a new batch of suitable relocation projects.
