Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: By 2030, the proportion of green factory output value at the national, provincial, and municipal levels is planned to increase to 40%.
Wang Peng, Director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at a press conference that the ministry will adhere to the concept of green development and promote the widespread adoption of green design and green manufacturing with greater intensity. The ministry aims to accelerate the green transformation and upgrade of the entire chain of product design, manufacturing, use, recycling, and reuse. By integrating "points, lines, and surfaces," a green industrial ecosystem will be created to solidify the industrial foundation for expanding green trade.
Firstly, green design will be implemented at the "source." The application of the green design concept focusing on lightweight, non-toxic, long-lasting, and easily recyclable products will be promoted, with an emphasis on industries like electronics and automotive. Green household appliances, green building materials, and green equipment will be developed and promoted to drive the growth of green industries such as new energy vehicles and energy-efficient and environmentally friendly equipment.
Secondly, green factories will be built at points. The basic role of green factories in the green transformation will be leveraged, and a plan to improve and expand green factories will be implemented. By 2030, it is planned that the proportion of green factory output at the national, provincial, and municipal levels will increase to 40%, encouraging green factories to explore the potential for energy savings and carbon reduction and cultivate a number of zero-carbon factories.
Thirdly, green supply chains will be nurtured at lines. Actions will be taken to enhance green supply chains, with a focus on large enterprises leading the way and increasing the proportion of green factory enterprises among suppliers through policies such as green procurement to drive the transformation of the entire chain towards green practices.
Lastly, green industrial parks will be developed at surfaces. The implementation of a plan to enhance green industrial parks will promote the green transformation of high-tech zones and industrial parks and actively promote the construction of zero-carbon parks.
