The State Development and Reform Commission and other departments have issued the "Action Plan for Deepening the Development of Smart Cities and Promoting Comprehensive Digital Transformation". It proposes that by the end of 2027, significant progress will be made in empowering cities with data to promote economic and social development. This includes efficiently handling key urban events and completing high-frequency livelihood matters quickly and efficiently. The digital economy will become a new driving force for urban development, achieving breakthrough progress in key areas such as smart and efficient urban governance, convenient and inclusive services, and urban digital updates. More than 50 cities will be transformed into comprehensive digital transformation cities. Super large and mega cities will lead the construction of a new smart and efficient governance system and implement a number of advanced and usable, independently controllable urban large models. By 2035, a group of modern cities with international competitiveness and global influence will emerge.
