National Bureau of Statistics: In October, from the perspective of enterprise size, the PMI for large, medium, and small enterprises were 49.9%, 48.7%, and 47.1% respectively, all decreasing by 1.1%, 0.1%, and 1.1% compared to the previous month, all below the critical point. From the perspective of classification index, among the 5 classification indices that constitute the manufacturing PMI, the supplier delivery time index is at the critical point, while the production index, new orders index, raw material inventory index, and employment index are all below the critical point. The production index is 49.7%, a decrease of 2.2% compared to the previous month, indicating a slowdown in manufacturing production. The new orders index is 48.8%, a decrease of 0.9% compared to the previous month, indicating a decline in demand in the manufacturing market.
