Major European stock indexes closed with mixed gains and losses.

The European Stoxx 600 index fell by 0.13%, the European Stoxx index fell by 0.21%, and the Eurozone blue-chip stock index fell by 0.15%. The UK's FTSE 100 index rose by 0.04%, Germany's DAX index rose by 0.06%, France's CAC 40 index fell by 0.6%, and Spain's IBEX index fell by 0.72%.
