Recently, the National Medical Products Administration's Drug Evaluation Center organized the formulation and publication of the "General Principles and Considerations for Age-Friendly Design in Innovative Drug Research and Development". This document aims to fully implement the principles of ICH E7 and propose considerations for age-friendly design in innovative drug research and development, guiding the consideration of the needs of elderly patients in the process of drug design and development, clinical trial implementation, and post-market monitoring, focusing on the experiences and preferences of elderly patients, and promoting the development of suitable products to improve the medication experience of elderly patients, reduce medication errors, and enhance the overall health level of elderly patients.
