Shanghai Jiao Tong University and CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) join forces to break the world record for large-size Perovskite solar photovoltaic module with an efficiency of over 20%.
According to the official WeChat account of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a research paper by Professor Zhao Yixin's team from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was recently published online by "Nature". The research innovatively proposed a new concept of "matrix-confinement molecular layer" type hole transport layer configuration, breaking through the intrinsic limitations of molecular aggregation, stacking, and crystallization faced by traditional self-assembled single molecular layer type hole transport layer systems. It created a new technology path for charge transport layers with broad molecular applicability and high process scalability, solving the challenges of uneven films and unstable interfaces faced during the preparation of perovskite photovoltaic modules based on self-assembled charge transport layers. The study successfully achieved a power conversion efficiency of over 20% in a 1m2m large-sized perovskite photovoltaic module, setting a new world record in the field.
