2026 Cyberport Venture Capital Forum Draws Over 2,800 Attendees, Sets Record with 600 Investment Matchmaking Sessions
The forum successfully facilitated direct exchanges between international investors and high-growth technology companies.
Cyberport stated that the annual venture capital flagship event, the 2026 Cyberport Venture Capital Forum, has successfully concluded, attracting over 2,800 attendees and 200,000 online views, and setting a record with more than 600 investment matchmaking sessions.
According to the introduction, through a series of activities including entrepreneur roadshows, investor matchmaking, startup clinics, and an innovative technology showcase area, the forum successfully facilitated direct exchanges between international investors and high-growth technology enterprises. Among them, multiple industry leaders and global investors exchanged important market information on emerging cross-border opportunities, capital strategies, and scalable business models. The forum also served as a platform for exploring next-generation technology solutions, highlighting the latest developments in areas such as AI agents, technology infrastructure transformation, and tokenized assets.
Hong Kong's Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Joseph Chan Ho-lim, pointed out that digital assets are changing the way value flows in the global economy, and Hong Kong is not only a participant in this transformation but also an active leader and builder. The Blockchain and Digital Asset Pilot Funding Scheme launched by Cyberport last year received an ideal response, with more than half of the shortlisted projects having successfully achieved commercialization. Riding on this development momentum, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau has commissioned Cyberport to launch Funding Scheme 2.0 to promote collaboration between technology enterprises and the industry, and to accelerate the research, development, and application of innovative solutions for real-world asset tokenization, blockchain, and digital assets.
Cyberport Chief Executive Officer Rocky Cheng Chung-ngam said that Hong Kong has laid the foundation for the compliant issuance of stablecoins and tokenized assets, and the next step is to promote their practical application in areas such as circulation, trading, collateralization, and cross-border settlement. At the same time, the "one-person company" (OPC) model is redefining entrepreneurship, bringing unprecedented opportunities to young entrepreneurs. Cyberport will continue to play its role as Hong Kong's digital technology flagship and AI accelerator, bringing together talent, technology, capital, and markets to help Hong Kong build an AI and digital asset hub with international influence.
