XPENG-W (09868) rose nearly 5%, up 4.83% as of press time to HK$39.92, with turnover of HK$183 million. On the news front, on November 4, according to XPENG Group's official WeChat account, XPENG Group, together with research teams from Peking University, the University of Hong Kong and other universities, jointly released research results on the embodied perception foundation model GroundingPI. The research proposes a "perception-first" technical route, and with approximately 4 billion parameters, ranked first in a comprehensive evaluation across 34 public perception benchmarks, while demonstrating higher data processing efficiency and stronger scenario generalization capabilities in Siasun Robot&Automation simulation tasks. GroundingPI proposes that the primary prerequisite for embodied intelligence is accurate perception of the spatial positions of oneself and surrounding objects, and that perceptual representation is crucial for physical AI. The research team compared GroundingPI with OpenAI's frontier model GPT-6 Astra on the same set of 34 perception benchmarks. Using an equal-weighted average across the above 11 categories of capabilities, GroundingPI scored 73.68 and Astra scored 71.54.
