ASMPT (00522) completes strategic options review and retains SMT Solutions segment

ASMPT (00522) announced that its board of directors has concluded that retaining the SMT Solutions segment as part of the ASMPT Group is in the best interests of the company and its shareholders. Accordingly, the strategic options review for the SMT Solutions segment, which was initiated in January 2026, has been completed. After a comprehensive review of a range of strategic options, including a sale, joint venture, spin-off, listing, and retaining the business within the group, the board believes that the growth and profitability prospects of the SMT Solutions segment, as part of ASMPT, will provide opportunities to create sustainable long-term shareholder value.
