The gathering of domestic and international brands at JD.com stems from their recognition of JD.com's ability to empower high-quality brand growth through its super supply chain, and is also an affirmation of JD.com's continued advancement of its internationalization strategy.
Leveraging its super supply chain cultivated over many years, JD.com: on the one hand, bridges overseas brands and Chinese consumers through cross-border imports, bringing users richer product choices; on the other hand, it accelerates supply chain going global, helping Chinese brands reach the world while deeply deploying overseas infrastructure and continuously achieving new breakthroughs.
RMB10 Billion and 1,000 Brands for New Growth, Global Quality Goods on JD.com
As an important carrier of JD.com's cross-border e-commerce import business, JD Worldwide continues to expand its open ecosystem to help overseas brands and merchants efficiently "land" in the Chinese market, and has become the preferred channel for overseas brands entering China. Currently, JD Worldwide has gathered over 100 million premium overseas products from more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, and through its strong global direct procurement system and professional buyer network, has deeply deployed in overseas origins such as Europe and the US, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, achieving efficient direct sourcing from the source.
Take the Lafite group, which visited JD.com this time, as an example. As a world-renowned top wine brand, Lafite particularly values JD.com's authentic direct procurement system and professional supply chainthis is precisely the foundation of years of cooperation between the two parties. Currently, JD.com is Lafite's largest retailer in the Chinese mainland market and one of the most comprehensive fine wine sales platforms in China.
In terms of wine variety, JD.com has gathered over 5,000 of the world's major premium fine wines through its self-operated model, including over 200 products under Lafite. Through "direct sourcing from origin, direct shipment from wineries, professional cold chain throughout" and "nationwide temperature- and humidity-controlled warehousing," JD.com brings rich high-quality fine wines from renowned estates to Chinese consumers. At the same time, by opening official flagship stores, JD.com has also introduced premium wines from multiple appellations under the Lafite group, including Los Andes, Basque, and Aussieres, bringing consumers diversified shopping choices and wine-tasting experiences.
In terms of authenticity and quality assurance, JD.com has built a full-process quality supervision system covering origin traceability, cross-border fulfillment, warehousing inspection, and after-sales service, achieving stable supply and full traceability of authentic products.
At the origin, JD.com goes deep into overseas source regions, cooperating directly with brands and estates, strictly reviewing merchant qualifications and procurement channels, eliminating counterfeit goods at the source and safeguarding authenticity. During fulfillment, it relies on a professional red wine cold chain model throughout to maximize the quality of the wine. In warehousing, JD.com has built a closed-loop quality control system of "inbound acceptancein-warehouse inspectionthird-party spot checks," and together with authoritative institutions has created "Jingzhijian," providing the industry with authentic-product assurance solutions through inbound authentication and one-item-one-inspection methods. In after-sales service, it ensures consumer experience with high-quality capabilities such as professional customer service, thereby forming a complete quality loop for imported wine from overseas origin to Chinese consumers.
Beyond Lafite, more international quality brands are accelerating their entry into JD.com. In July 2025, JD Worldwide launched the "RMB10 Billion and 1,000 Brands New Growth Plan," proposing to introduce 1,000 overseas brands over the next three years and help achieve RMB10 billion in sales growth. Currently, this plan has attracted more than 2,000 brands worldwide and over 20,000 new products listed. From fine wines from Bordeaux's renowned estates in France and Scottish single malt whisky to Japanese mother-and-baby products, Korean beauty and personal care, and European and American digital and outdoor equipment, JD.com continues to respond to the diverse expectations of Chinese consumers with global quality goods.
Deepening the Super Supply Chain, Building a New Engine for Going Global
JD.com's internationalization is not one-way output but a two-way layout of "bringing in" and "going global."
Relying on its super supply chain and localized operating system, Joybuy, JD.com's European online retail business, has deeply cultivated markets in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, providing consumers with quality brand products, competitive prices, and ultimate service. Through a self-built full-link logistics network, Joybuy has brought "211" time-guaranteed delivery service to more than 30 major European cities, enabling over 40 million people to enjoy an extremely fast shopping experience of "order in the morning, receive in the afternoon." At the same time, JD.com's global direct mail service has also covered 36 countries worldwide, launching sites in more than 10 countries and 1 overseas comprehensive site. Relying on supply chain and logistics capabilities, it synchronously supplies overseas a rich range of JD self-operated and third-party merchant products including home appliances, digital products, food, and beauty.
JD LOGISTICS' key layout of global self-operated warehouses
In addition, JD LOGISTICS is also continuously accelerating its going-global pace. Currently, JD.com has deployed overseas warehousing infrastructure in 26 countries and regions worldwide, operating more than 200 overseas warehouses, bonded warehouses, and direct mail warehouses, over 2,000 air cargo routes, 48 scheduled routes, and 13 full-cargo aircraft; through multimodal transport by sea, land, and air, it has built a three-dimensional corridor and provides integrated supply chain services such as cold chain warehousing and transportation. Relying on this logistics network that reaches deep into the world, JD.com is greatly shortening the distance between global quality goods and Chinese consumers while continuing to contribute to the efficient and smooth flow of global trade.
Furthermore, as a "technology and service enterprise based on supply chain," JD.com's internationalization is not only about "sourcing globally and selling globally," but also about taking supply chain infrastructure, technology, and services global. Currently, JD.com has built a super supply chain spanning diverse business formats including retail, logistics, technology, health, industry, property development, and international business. Relying on this capability foundation, it has further created a one-stop modern service system supported by supply chain, digital technology, and service networks and covering industry and life, providing practical support for building a comprehensive service system at home and abroad.
At this important juncture as Double 11 ushers in a new round of climax, the vote of confidence that domestic and international brands place in JD.com reflects the long-termism that JD.com has always adhered to. It can be seen that JD.com's long-termism is not about weighing temporary gains and losses but about deeply cultivating long-term value together with brand partners. This is also the underlying tone of JD.com's "Three Mao Five Theory": the platform does not compete with brands for profits, leaving more returns to industry chain partners, making every cooperation a sustainable co-creation of value.
For brands and merchants, JD.com provides a "certainty" business foundationa stable daily sales base makes routine operations predictable; a long-term brand-building position allows assets to continuously accumulate; and operational support throughout the entire product lifecycle helps them optimize the return rate of every product. These are precisely the key reasons why JD.com can be recognized by more and more partners over the long term.
