Memory "shortage" continues: Shenzhen Longsys Electronics (301308.SZ) positions itself for new opportunities with self-developed controller chips and enterprise-grade storage
Memory chips are becoming one of the most prosperous segments in the current semiconductor supply chain. TrendForce forecasts that DRAM contract prices will still maintain double-digit month-on-month increases in Q4 2026, with the market supply-demand imbalance continuing. The implementation of AI is driving storage to upgrade from an electronic component to core hardware that determines inference performance. Against this backdrop, as the first independent memory company listed in both "A+H" markets in China, Shenzhen Longsys Electronics (301308.SZ) is deeply positioning itself in this round of industrial upgrading by leveraging two key drivers: edge AI storage and enterprise-grade storage.
Self-developed controllers have cumulatively shipped over 280 million units; Shenzhen Longsys Electronics' full-stack layout races ahead in the new storage paradigm
The accelerated implementation of AI applications is driving the storage industry into a stage of value revaluation. As the core hub of storage systems, controller chips undertake key functions such as data scheduling, wear leveling, error correction management, and firmware algorithms, and their process technology and architecture design directly determine the performance ceiling and energy efficiency of storage products. Shenzhen Longsys Electronics' self-designed controller chips have cumulatively produced over 280 million units, among which the UFS4.1 controller, the first to adopt 5nm process, has achieved large-scale mass production, driving storage controllers to leap from mature processes to advanced processes and marking that the company's technical strength and commercialization capabilities in the high-end controller field have reached a new level. Market observers note that under the backdrop of continuously rising demand for high-performance storage, storage manufacturers with core chip self-development capabilities possess stronger product definition, supply chain resilience, and cost control capabilities, and are expected to fully benefit from the value revaluation of the storage industry.
While deepening self-development of controller chips, the company has carried out storage solution adaptation with multiple major global main chip manufacturers such as AMD and UNISOC. After joint tuning with AMD, test data on AI mobile workstations and AI PC platforms show that devices equipped with the company's intelligent software and hardware architecture achieved approximately 3.2 times the AI model running scale and approximately 200% improvement in memory utilization efficiency, laying a storage technology foundation for the large-scale adoption of AI PCs.
On the product side, the company recently launched new technologies and products such as HLC (High-Level Cache), AIDIMM, and AILPBGA; the mSSD (Micro SSD) product, which adopts SiP packaging and measures only 20302.0 millimeters, has achieved large-scale commercial application with multiple global leading manufacturers. Industry insiders believe that storage manufacturers that are the first to complete a full-stack layout of "chip + firmware + packaging + system tuning" are expected to seize the initiative in the competition for the new AI storage paradigm.
Enterprise-grade storage rapidly scaling up; high-end and global layout advancing in depth
Enterprise-grade storage is the segment with the strongest growth certainty in this round of AI computing infrastructure construction. Gartner forecasts that global AI server shipments will grow 180% year on year in 2026; Goldman Sachs estimates that global enterprise SSD demand will grow 58% in 2026. Among them, Shenzhen Longsys Electronics has already taken the lead in achieving large-scale realization: in the first half of 2026, the company's enterprise-grade storage business revenue was RMB2.14 billion, up 208.80% year on year, far outpacing overall revenue growth. Products such as eSSD and RDIMM have passed certification by leading customers such as Lenovo, JD Cloud, and Bilibili and have entered mass production and shipment, and have completed adaptation to mainstream domestic CPU platforms such as Kunpeng, Hygon, and Phytium, deeply integrating into the domestic computing infrastructure supply chain.
At the same time, the company's global layout continues to yield results. In the first half of 2026, the company's overseas revenue was RMB17.017 billion, up 142.27% year on year, accounting for more than 70% of total revenue; Lexar deeply cultivated the global high-end B2C consumer market, with first-half revenue of RMB3.966 billion, up 84.90% year on year; Zilia achieved revenue of RMB3.950 billion based on the Latin American regional market, up 184.58% year on year, forming a globally diversified multi-point support business structure.
In the high-barrier automotive-grade storage segment, the company's automotive-grade UFS 4.1 product with self-developed 5nm controller has sequential read speed of 4200MB/s and has entered the verification and introduction stage with global leading automakers, with cooperation covering more than 20 OEMs and more than 50 Tier1 suppliers. Analysts note that as computing infrastructure construction continues to land and the domestic substitution process for storage accelerates, local storage companies with full-stack technical capabilities and leading customer resources are expected to continue to benefit.
In the process of the AI industry moving from the cloud to the edge, the value of storage is being redefined. Shenzhen Longsys Electronics stated that the company will continue to deepen strategic investment around self-developed chips, high-end storage, and global layout, and promote the coordinated scaling of enterprise-grade, automotive-grade, and edge AI storage businesses. Analysts believe that the company is expected to achieve sustainable high-quality development by relying on full-stack technical capabilities and a diversified market layout.
