LAI SUN INT'L (00191) announces its annual results for the year ended July 31, 2026: turnover of HK$5.1656 billion, up 3.4% year-on-year; net loss attributable to owners of the company of HK$1.3895 billion, narrowed by 17.1% year-on-year; basic loss per share of HK$1.573.
During the period, the net loss attributable to owners of the company narrowed year-on-year, mainly due to (i) an increase in the Group's revenue; (ii) the reversal of write-downs on properties under development in Hong Kong, China, recognized in the prior year; and (iii) a decrease in fair value losses and operating losses on properties of joint ventures. However, the reduction in net loss was partially offset by losses arising from the disposal by Lai Fung Group of a residential tower (T1) of Hengqin Innovation Square Phase 2 and the write-down of properties of Hengqin Innovation Square Phase 2 (mainly T3) during the year under review, as well as an increase in fair value losses on the Group's investment properties and other operating expenses.
