HK Stock Market Move | CHINA LIT (00772) rises over 6%, recently further upgrades its "IP+AI" strategy, Citi is bullish that the company will benefit from the AI content boom.

CHINA LIT (00772) rose over 6%, up 5.81% as of press time to HK$22.94, with turnover of HK$187 million. On the news front, on October 16, CHINA LIT released its first batch of premium AI animation projects and upgraded its DramaBuddy comic drama assistant to the OPC one-stop platform, providing creators with a complete chain from IP source to AI production and distribution. In the first half of this year, CHINA LIT's short drama and comic drama business revenue exceeded RMB 430 million, more than three times that of the same period last year. As of now, CHINA LIT has more than 660 comic dramas with over 10 million views, of which 107 have exceeded 100 million views. Citi said in a research report that AI is driving a content explosion. China's short drama supply surged 13-fold in the first eight months of 2026, serving more than 800 million users, with average daily viewing time per person exceeding 50 minutes, capturing share from long-form video, online literature and casual games. The bank believes the surge in content supply is more beneficial to platforms, IP and AI video tools, and is bullish on IP leader CHINA LIT.
