Wednesday, Netflix (NFLX.US) fell more than 4% to $65.77. On the news front, on October 20 local time, U.S. streaming company Netflix (NFLX.US) released its third-quarter 2026 financial report, which showed that the company's revenue was $12.874 billion, up 11.8% year over year, in line with previous expectations; net profit was $3.664 billion, up about 44% year over year.
However, the company expects fourth-quarter revenue to be $13.442 billion, with year-over-year revenue growth further slowing to 11.5%, the fourth consecutive quarter of deceleration; it expects fourth-quarter net profit of $2.787 billion. The company also lowered its 2026 advertising revenue forecast to $2.7 billion from about $3 billion previously, due to the slower-than-expected rollout of certain advertising product features, which also intensified market concerns.
