Six Months to 14 Days: NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) Launches DSX POD, Bringing "Containerization" to AI Factory Delivery
NVIDIA Corporation launches the DSX POD containerized AI factory solution, cutting deployment time from six months to 14 days, saving 30% on power, with global delivery as early as early 2027.
NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) unveiled the DSX POD at the GTC conference in Berlin, a reference design for a complete Vera Rubin AI factory, built by partners in modular containers and integrated and validated before delivery.
Once these units arrive on site, they can be connected to the site's power, cooling, and network infrastructure, potentially cutting deployment time from six months to as little as 14 days.
The design moves the integration of compute systems, networking, cabling, rack-level power, and liquid cooling from the construction site to the factory. NVIDIA Corporation said this approach can reduce construction work, labor requirements, logistics challenges, and delays, enabling customers to bring AI training and inference systems online faster and generate revenue sooner.
NVIDIA Corporation CEO Jensen Huang said, "AI factories create value when they start producing tokensnot when construction is finished." "With NVIDIA Corporation DSX POD, we bring factory-built precision and speed to AI infrastructure buildoutcutting deployment from months to weeks and enabling customers to scale capacity and bring revenue-generating production systems online faster."
NVIDIA Corporation said its DSX reference design uses closed-loop liquid cooling and dry coolers, enabling near-zero facility cooling water use, with potential water savings of up to 54 million liters per day for a 2-gigawatt-scale deployment.
In addition, DSX MaxLPS software can help operators reduce power consumption by up to 30% while generating the same number of tokens. CoreWeave (CRWV.US), Firmus, Alphabet Inc. Class C Cloud (GOOGL.US), IREN (IREN.US), Lambda, Nebius (NBIS.US), Nscale, and Sharon AI all plan to adopt the technology.
The AI company is partnering with Anduril, Armada, Bull, Crusoe, DayOne, Dell Technologies, Inc. Class C Technology (DELL.US), Delta, Eaton Corp. Plc (ETN.US), Foxconn subsidiary Ingrasys, Gigabyte, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (HPE.US), Lenovo, Pegatron, Quanta Cloud Technology, Schneider Electric (SBGSF.US), and Vertiv (VRT.US) to deliver DSX POD AI factories worldwide, with deployments expected to begin in early 2027.
