On the news front, on October 19, the National Bureau of Statistics released the basic situation of the national real estate market for January-September 2026. September data showed: the year-on-year decline in new home sales area widened, but second-hand home transactions bucked the trend to maintain positive growth; the year-on-year decline in home prices narrowed, with some core cities turning positive year-on-year and posting consecutive month-on-month gains; the decline in development investment widened, with starts and completions still weak.
Kaiyuan Securities noted that the overall real estate industry remains in a divergent landscape of weak sales recovery and supply contraction. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the bank expects the policy stance of destocking and controlling incremental supply to remain unchanged, and coupled with the low base effect, the overall direction of market stabilization is expected to continue.
