Palantir (PLTR.US) announced on Monday a new agreement with managed cloud service provider Knox Systems to deliver software to the U.S. federal government via the cloud. The two companies said in a statement that Knox currently supports more than 100 software and artificial intelligence (AI) applications in federal government environments. The partnership with Palantir will accelerate the deployment of mission-critical software in U.S. Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and IL5 environments. The two sides did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. Palantir executive Kevin Kawasaki said: "Missions don't wait for technology to catch up. We started this business to rapidly and securely deliver not only our software but other mission-critical software and tools into the hands of warfighters and the U.S. government, even in the most highly regulated environments. We are honored to partner with Knox to take this effort to the next stage and further expand the reach of this work." Knox is described as the "largest and longest-operating federal managed cloud," specializing in deploying software for U.S. defense and government customers and able to help customers complete FedRAMP authorization within 90 days. Meanwhile, Palantir has secured a large number of contracts from the U.S. federal government. In August 2025, Palantir signed a contract worth up to $10 billion with the U.S. Army aimed at consolidating the military's software and data needs over the next decade, merging 75 fragmented contracts into a single enterprise-level agreement. In addition, Palantir has become a key technology partner for the U.S. Department of Defense's flagship AI program "Project Maven." Beyond its deep ties with the U.S. military, Palantir also won a $30 million contract from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in April 2025 to develop an operating system capable of identifying undocumented immigrants and tracking self-deportation.
