Contemporary Amperex Technology (03750) announced that, in order to ensure a stable supply of upstream raw materials and optimize procurement costs, the Company intends to enter into a procurement agreement through its wholly-owned subsidiary Hong Kong Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hong Kong Times") with the related party Hong Kong Ansheng Mining Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hong Kong Ansheng") to purchase cathode copper from it (hereinafter referred to as "this procurement").
Contemporary Amperex Technology (03750) announced that, in order to ensure a stable supply of upstream raw materials and optimize procurement costs, the Company plans to enter into a procurement agreement through its wholly-owned subsidiary Hong Kong Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hong Kong Times") with the related party Hong Kong Ansheng Mining Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hong Kong Ansheng") to purchase cathode copper from it (hereinafter referred to as "this procurement"). Cathode copper is a key raw material for manufacturing the negative electrode current collector of lithium batteries (lithium battery copper foil), and has an important impact on battery performance and stability. As the Company's business scale continues to expand, demand for cathode copper has grown rapidly accordingly. In order to ensure a stable supply of upstream raw materials and optimize procurement costs, the Company plans to enter into a procurement agreement through its wholly-owned subsidiary Hong Kong Times with the related party Hong Kong Ansheng, and plans to purchase cathode copper from Hong Kong Ansheng in 2027 and 2028, with the total procurement amount expected not to exceed US$320 million. This related-party procurement aims to ensure a stable supply of cathode copper required by the Company, further enhance the Company's supply chain security, expand the global raw material supply layout, and optimize procurement costs, which is in line with the Company's overall strategic interests.
