BDV EDU INTL (01082) Announces Annual Results, Shareholder-Attributable Loss of HK$23.265 Million, Narrowed by 55% Year-on-Year

BDV EDU INTL (01082) announced its annual results for the year ended 30 June 2026, with revenue of HK$39.658 million, down 41.7% year-on-year; loss attributable to owners of the Company of HK$23.265 million, narrowed by 55% year-on-year; basic loss per share of HK$0.04. The loss was primarily attributable to (i) an impairment loss on goodwill of approximately HK$4.98 million (2025: approximately HK$13.15 million); (ii) impairment losses on trade receivables and contract assets of approximately HK$6.77 million (2025: approximately HK$22.52 million); and (iii) an impairment loss on loan receivables of approximately HK$7.13 million (2025: approximately HK$8.08 million), mainly resulting from an increase in asset impairment based on the principle of prudence, taking into account the slow economic recovery in Hong Kong, China. On the contrary, the effective implementation of stricter credit approval procedures for downstream distributor customers during the year had a positive impact on the Group, successfully reducing credit risk.
