GENSCRIPT BIO (01548) announces that the Board of Directors of the Company has noted that the price and trading volume of the Company's shares have risen today. The Board hereby provides shareholders and potential investors of the Company with the following update regarding the Group's recent business developments. The Company has entered into an agreement to collaborate with Lilly TuneLab (TuneLab), an AI-driven (AI/machine learning) drug discovery collaboration platform established by Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly, a multinational pharmaceutical company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: LLY)). Pursuant to the agreement, the Group will provide wet lab services to TuneLab participating enterprises at preferential rates, facilitating the generation of experimental data to translate AI predictions into biological evidence data. The Board believes that the agreement will further expand the Group's presence in the rapidly growing AI-driven drug discovery ecosystem, consistent with its strategic direction of supporting biopharmaceutical innovation through integrated R&D solutions. The Board further confirms that the agreement does not constitute inside information of the Company within the meaning of Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong). Having made such enquiries of the Company as were reasonable in the circumstances, the Board confirms that, as at the date of this announcement, save as disclosed in this announcement, the Board is not aware of any reason for the fluctuations in the price or trading volume of the shares, nor of any inside information that is required to be disclosed under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
