Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (600276.SH) announced that its subsidiary, Guangdong Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., has received approval from the National Medical Products Administration for the clinical trial approval notice regarding SHR-1179 injection, and clinical trials will commence shortly. It is reported that SHR-1179 injection is a Class 1 biopharmaceutical independently developed by the company, intended for weight management indications. There are currently no approved drugs with the same target on the market, domestically or internationally. As of now, the cumulative research and development investment for the SHR-1179 injection project amounts to approximately 24.2 million yuan (unaudited).
