On September 7, the Hong Kong interbank offered rate (HIBOR) rose across the board, with the one-month HIBOR related to mortgage loans reported at 2.85476%, up 1.208 basis points; the three-month HIBOR, which reflects the cost of bank funding, reported at 3.06470%, up 3.446 basis points. The overnight rate was reported at 3.04750%, up 82.369 basis points; the one-week HIBOR rose by 8.887 basis points to 2.68887%, while the two-week rate increased by 6.399 basis points to 2.69595%. The two-month HIBOR rose by 2.369 basis points to 2.96708%. In terms of long-term rates, the six-month HIBOR rose by 1.304 basis points to 3.24292%, and the one-year rate increased by 3.744 basis points to 3.59196%.
