CHINA MER PORT (00144) announced its interim results for the six months ending June 30, 2026, with the groups revenue reaching HKD 7.297 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.01%; profit attributable to shareholders was HKD 3.832 billion, up 6.92%; earnings per share were HKD 0.913; and the interim dividend was HKD 0.25. In the first half of 2026, the groups container business showed growth, while the bulk cargo business remained stable. The groups ports handled a total container throughput of 78.21 million TEUs, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year. Of this, the ports in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan accounted for 58.52 million TEUs, marking a year-on-year rise of 5.2%, driven mainly by throughput growth in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta, and Bohai Bay regions. Overseas ports handled a container throughput of 19.69 million TEUs, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year. The groups bulk cargo throughput reached 267 million tons, up 1.7% year-on-year, with ports in mainland China completing a bulk cargo throughput of 261 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
