According to China Securities Journal, Wind data shows that as of August 25, 15 listed brokerages have disclosed their semi-annual reports for 2026, with 10 of them announcing interim dividend proposals, totaling nearly RMB 17 billion in cash distributions. It is noteworthy that since the beginning of this year, multiple Chinese brokerages have been actively increasing their capital in their Hong Kong subsidiaries, with top institutions raising amounts reaching billions and even over a hundred billion. Smaller brokerages are also accelerating their overseas expansion through capital increases and by establishing new platforms, indicating a progressive internationalization of the industry. Hong Kong remains the core hub for Chinese brokerages connecting the mainland with global capital markets, with their business landscape gradually extending to markets in Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
