In news, the Swire group recently released its mid-term performance for 2026, reporting revenues of HKD 49.446 billion, an increase of 8% year-on-year; attributable basic profit for shareholders is HKD 7.843 billion, a year-on-year increase of 43%; the profit attributable as per financial statements stands at HKD 6.769 billion, a year-on-year increase of 731%; the mid-term dividend for 'A' shares is HKD 1.5 per share, and for 'B' shares, it is HKD 0.3 per share. UBS published a research report stating that Swire's recurring basic profit for the first half of the year is HKD 7 billion, a year-on-year growth of 48%, which is 9% higher than the bank's forecast. The mid-term dividend increased by 15% year-on-year to HKD 1.5 per share, with a payout ratio of 29%. The bank noted that Swire's net debt and net debt ratio have improved compared to six months ago, primarily due to strong cash flow from the aviation and beverage segments, which the bank believes is also the reason for the company's commitment to maintain a 50% payout ratio. The bank has raised its earnings forecast for Swire for the years 2026 to 2028 by 11% to 13% and maintains a "Neutral" rating, raising the target price from HKD 87 to HKD 95, an increase of 9%.
