On August 5th, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced the appointment of He Guangyi as Managing Director and Group Chief Strategy Officer. He Guangyi will assume his new role on September 1st and will report to Liu Biyin, Chief Operating Officer of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
On August 5, HKEX announced the appointment of He Guangyi as Managing Director and Group Chief Strategist. He Guangyi will assume his new role on September 1 and will report to HKEX Chief Operating Officer Liu Biyin. In his new position, He Guangyi will be responsible for leading the Group's strategic functions, working closely with the HKEX Management Committee and the heads of various business departments to implement key strategies of the Group. He will be responsible for providing insights into economic and macro trends and offering guidance on new business initiatives to support the Groups long-term development.
HKEX also announced that the current Group Chief Strategist and Head of the Chief Executive's Office, Lin Jirong, will take on the role of Head of the Chief Executive's Office and Chief of Strategic Relations, reporting to Group Chief Executive Officer Chen Yiting. The Group is deepening international multilateral cooperation, making the development of strategic relations very important, and the new role will expand Lin Jirong's responsibilities. He will lead the team to enhance the Groups business capabilities and focus on seizing more opportunities through strategic relationships.
HKEX Group Chief Executive Officer Chen Yiting stated, He Guangyi has extensive experience in the exchange and financial industry. He is a corporate strategy expert with a proven track record in driving corporate development plans. With his deep understanding of the Hong Kong and international markets, he can assist us in strategic planning. I also look forward to continuing to work closely with Lin Jirong; his leadership and expertise will help us better develop and deepen our international strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining HKEX, He Guangyi worked for Oliver Wyman for over 14 years, providing consulting services to the management and boards of leading exchanges, regulators, and banks in the Asia-Pacific region, most recently serving as a Partner in Banking and Financial Services and Head of Digital Assets for the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Global Business and Economics) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
