On August 5, the Ministry of Commerce announced its decision to take countermeasures against six American entities, including Application DNA Science Company.
On August 5, the Ministry of Commerce released a decision regarding countermeasures against Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. and five other American entities. Recently, the United States has imposed sanctions on Chinese companies under the pretext of forced labor, seriously violating international law and the basic principles of international relations, and severely infringing upon our sovereignty, security, and development interests. Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. and the other five American entities have assisted and supported the U.S. in its illegal sanctions concerning Xinjiang, which is of a particularly heinous nature. Based on Articles 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, and 15 of the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China and Articles 3, 5, 8, and 10 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, China has decided to include Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. and the other five American entities on the countermeasure list, taking the following countermeasures: prohibiting organizations and individuals within China from engaging in any transactions, cooperation, or other activities related to them.
