Given that the signing of the sales contract to the submission for registration at the Hong Kong Land Registry requires time, the registration cases in June generally reflect the market conditions in May.
The Director of the Property Research Department of Hong Kong stated that according to data from the Hong Kong Land Registry, there have been a total of 79 registrations for second-hand public housing (including the Liberville Estate with land premium paid and the Second Market without land premium paid) so far this month (as of the 25th), a decrease of about 12.2% compared to the same period last month. As it takes time from signing the sales contract to registering with the Hong Kong Land Registry, the cases registered in June generally reflect the market conditions in May. In terms of the amount, for the second-hand public housing registrations so far this month, there were 32 registrations for properties priced at or below 2 million Hong Kong dollars, remaining the same compared to the same period last month; there were 33 registrations for properties priced over 2 million to 3 million Hong Kong dollars, a decrease of about 10.8% compared to the same period last month; and there were 14 registrations for properties priced over 3 million Hong Kong dollars, a decrease of about 33.3% compared to the same period last month. In terms of the ranking of the number of second-hand public housing registrations in housing estates so far this month, the Lei Cheng Uk Estate in Cheung Sha Wan topped the list with 5 registrations, breaking the situation of no registrations in the same period last month; the Fu Shan Estate in Tai Po, the Cheung On Estate in Tsing Yi, and the Lai Tung Estate in Ap Lei Chau each had 4 registrations, tied for second place. The Fu Shan Estate in Tai Po remained the same compared to the same period last month, while the Cheung On Estate in Tsing Yi and the Lai Tung Estate in Ap Lei Chau each increased by 3 registrations compared to the same period last month.
