On the news front, it was reported that stablecoin issuer Circle plans to collaborate with Nomura Securities to achieve instant foreign currency settlement for Japanese companies as early as 2027. This plan will allow large foreign transactions to be completed immediately, aiming to stimulate cross-border investment and trade. The Circle-Nomura plan will mark the first time a major stablecoin issuer enters the Japanese corporate trading market. This plan will allow companies to convert Japanese yen into stablecoins denominated in US dollars for investment and immediate transfers.
