The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong welcomes the appointment of a senior lawyer, Mr. Wen Benli, as a non-executive director, and the re-appointment of Mr. Chan Chun-hung as a non-executive director for a term of two years.
The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong welcomes the appointment of Mr. Wen Benli, a senior barrister, and the reappointment of Mr. Chan Chun Hung as non-executive directors, both for a term of two years.
Dr. Carlson Huang, Chairman of the Securities and Futures Commission, stated: "I warmly welcome Mr. Wen to join the board and look forward to continuing to work with Mr. Chan. Mr. Wen has extensive experience in commercial litigation, particularly in banking, bankruptcy (corporate and individual), and corporate disputes, which will help enhance the professional depth of the board. Meanwhile, Mr. Chan has made valuable contributions to promoting the establishment of sound institutional governance at the SFC. I look forward to working closely with them and other board members to fulfill the dual mission of the SFC and safeguard the integrity and stability of the market."
Dr. Huang also expressed gratitude to the outgoing board members. He continued: "On behalf of the board, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks and respect to Mr. David Du Kin Kwan, a senior barrister, for his valuable contributions to the SFC over the past six years, as well as his outstanding leadership during his tenure as Chairman of the Investor and Financial Education Committee since November 2021."
