On the news front, on June 18th, SHOUGANG LANZA achieved a milestone breakthrough as the Hebei Shoulang Phase II project successfully completed its first trial, producing qualified anhydrous ethanol products with a concentration of over 99.9%, marking the first demonstration project in the world to use CO2-containing industrial exhaust gas to synthesize anhydrous ethanol on a scale of tens of thousands of tons. The project has now entered the commercial operation stage with the full process flow implemented. Of note, on June 9th, American Airlines signed a large-scale SAF cooperation agreement with Google. Huayuan Securities believes that SAF is a crucial decarbonization path for the aviation industry, and the global demand for SAF is expected to continue to rise. SHOUGANG LANZA plans to build sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facilities in Baotou, Inner Mongolia in 2026, with production set to begin in 2027, opening up long-term opportunities for the company's industrial chain extension.
