On the news front, QuantumScape announced a joint research and development agreement with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Sponsored ADR subsidiary, Honda Research Institute. The two companies will integrate their respective technological strengths to advance QuantumScape's solid-state battery technology platform, with the cooperation project planned for several years and focusing on solid-state battery research and production process development. Prior to the implementation of this cooperation, Honda had completed a technology evaluation agreement with QuantumScape: Honda conducted in-depth technical research on the QS solid-state battery technology platform, and completed competitive benchmark evaluations under multiple standard test scenarios. Atsushi Ogawa, Chief Operating Officer of Honda Research Institute's Excellence Research Development Center, stated, "During the evaluation stage, QS's technology demonstrated uniquely competitive advantages. We believe that this technology can create value in various fields such as the automotive industry, and we are very much looking forward to the next phase of cooperation between the two companies."
