Hong Kong Property: As of this month, there have been 3,353 second-hand residential properties registered in Hong Kong, an increase of 17% compared to the same period last month.

According to data from the Hong Kong Property Research Department and the Land Registry, a total of 3,353 registrations of second-hand residential properties (including private and public housing) have been recorded so far this month (up to May 20), representing an increase of approximately 17.2% compared to the 2,861 registrations during the same period in April.
Director Wang Pindi of the Hong Kong Property Research Department stated that according to data from the Hong Kong Property Research Department and the Land Registry, a total of 3353 second-hand residential properties (including second-hand private residences and second-hand public housing) have been registered so far this month (as of May 20), an increase of approximately 17.2% compared to the same period in April when there were 2861 registrations. Since there is a time lag between signing the sales contract and registering with the Land Registry, the registrations in May generally reflect the market conditions in April. Breaking down the registration figures for second-hand residential properties by price range for the month to date, there were 519 registrations of properties over 10 million Hong Kong dollars, an increase of approximately 27.8% from April; 1646 registrations of properties priced at 5 million Hong Kong dollars or below, an increase of approximately 15.6% from April; and 1188 registrations of properties priced between 5 million and 10 million Hong Kong dollars, an increase of approximately 15.2% from April. In terms of the ranking of residential estates with the highest number of registrations for second-hand residential properties in Hong Kong so far this month, La Cresta in Tseung Kwan O topped the list with 77 registrations, an increase of approximately 10% from April when there were 70 registrations; City One in Sha Tin ranked second with 35 registrations, a significant increase of approximately 84.2% from April when there were 19 registrations; and Discovery Bay ranked third with 27 registrations, an increase of approximately 58.8% from April when there were 17 registrations.
