HAICHANG HLDG (02255) rose more than 15% in early trading, rising 6.82% as of the time of writing, to HK $0.47, with a turnover of HK $127 million.
On the news front, according to market reports on May 20th, Mei Zhiming, co-founder and CEO of GLP Pte. Ltd., is considering investing in HAICHANG HLDG Holdings Limited. The report cited sources as saying that Mei Zhiming's family office is working with advisors to develop potential plans, which may also involve collaboration with other investors. Negotiations are still ongoing, and a deal may not be reached.
Previously, HAICHANG HLDG released its annual performance for the year ended December 31, 2025, with a total revenue of RMB 1.549 billion, a decrease of 14.8% year-on-year, almost halving from the peak in 2019; shareholders' net loss was RMB 956 million, a 29.22% increase year-on-year.
