On May 18th, the Hong Kong dollar interest rates saw individual developments, with the overnight rate at 2.42464%, a decrease of 0.613 basis points. The one-week rate fell by 1.25 basis points to 2.5%, while the two-week rate increased by 1.233 basis points to 2.6%. The one-month rate related to mortgages dropped by 1.262 basis points to 2.62619%, marking a three-day consecutive decrease.
The three-month interbank offered rate, which reflects the cost of bank funds, increased by 0.143 basis points to 2.88458%. As for longer-term rates, the six-month rate remained unchanged at 3%, while the one-year rate increased by 1.94 basis points to 3.18363%.
