Air China Limited (00753) announced that in April 2026, both the company and its subsidiaries saw an increase in passenger transport capacity (measured in available seat kilometers) and passenger traffic (measured in revenue passenger kilometers) compared to the same period last year. Passenger transport capacity increased by 0.5% year-on-year, while passenger traffic rose by 5.8% year-on-year. Specifically, domestic passenger transport capacity remained steady year-on-year, while passenger traffic increased by 2.7%; international passenger transport capacity increased by 2.4% year-on-year, with passenger traffic rising by 13.8%; and regional passenger transport capacity decreased by 6.1% year-on-year, while passenger traffic increased by 3.1% year-on-year. The average passenger load factor was 85.5%, up by 4.3 percentage points year-on-year. Specifically, domestic routes saw an increase of 2.3 percentage points in load factor, international routes saw an increase of 8.5 percentage points, and regional routes saw an increase of 7.4 percentage points. Starting on April 1, 2026, the company launched a new route from Beijing Capital to Hanzhong (seven flights per week); on April 21, the company resumed flights on the Beijing Capital to Delhi route (three flights per week); and on April 28, the company added a new route from Beijing Daxing to Frankfurt (seven flights per week). In April 2026, the group introduced 1 C919 aircraft, 4 A320 series aircraft, and 1 B737 series aircraft, while retiring 1 A320 series aircraft. By the end of April 2026, the group operated a total of 965 aircraft, with 427 owned aircraft, 254 aircraft under financial leasing, and 284 aircraft under operational leasing.
