The applications for these projects were submitted by the Kang and New Life Travel Companies, each proposing to test two hydrogen fuel cell tourist buses for local passenger transport. The EPD spokesperson stated, "After receiving detailed information on the above test projects, the working group immediately began the review process and tentatively approved the two projects on April 22nd." So far, the working group has reviewed and tentatively approved 37 applications for hydrogen energy test projects. The group will continue to monitor the operation data and experiences gathered from these projects to provide feedback on improving the safety and technical guidelines for local hydrogen applications in Hong Kong.
