In March, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.7% year-on-year (the growth rate of value added is the actual growth rate excluding price factors). From a month-on-month perspective, in March, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 0.28% compared to the previous month.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in March, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.7% year-on-year (the growth rate of value added is the actual growth rate excluding price factors). Month-on-month, in March, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 0.28% compared to the previous month. From January to March, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 6.1% year-on-year. Looking at three major categories, in March, the value added of the mining industry increased by 5.7% year-on-year, manufacturing by 6.0%, and electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply by 3.5%. In terms of economic types, in March, the value added of state-controlled enterprises increased by 5.9% year-on-year; the value added of joint-stock enterprises increased by 6.2%, foreign-invested enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan increased by 3.7%; privately-owned enterprises increased by 4.0%. Looking at industries, in March, out of 41 major categories, 30 industries maintained year-on-year growth in value added. Among them, coal mining and washing increased by 5.3%, petroleum and natural gas extraction by 9.4%, agricultural and sideline food processing by 8.0%, alcoholic beverages and refined tea manufacturing by 2.4%, textiles by 1.7%, chemicals manufacturing by 9.0%, non-metallic mineral products decreased by 5.5%, ferrous metal smelting and processing increased by 1.7%, non-ferrous metal smelting and processing remained unchanged year-on-year, general equipment manufacturing increased by 6.3%, special equipment manufacturing increased by 6.2%, automobile manufacturing by 7.5%, railway, shipbuilding, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing by 13.3%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing by 5.4%, computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing by 12.5%, and electricity, heat production and supply increased by 4.2%. In terms of products, in March, out of 626 industrial products above designated size, 329 products saw a year-on-year increase in output. Among them, steel production was 130.98 million tons, a decrease of 2.3% year-on-year; cement production was 123.10 million tons, a decrease of 21.0%; ten non-ferrous metal products were 7.07 million tons, an increase of 2.2%; ethylene was 3.64 million tons, an increase of 6.8%; automobiles were 30.67 million, a decrease of 0.1%, with new energy vehicles at 13.36 million, an increase of 1.2%; electricity generation was 802.5 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 1.4%; crude oil processing was 61.67 million tons, a decrease of 2.2%. In March, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 93.8%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points year-on-year; the export delivery value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 1.458 trillion yuan, a nominal increase of 8.7% year-on-year.
