Citibank: Macau gambling revenue in March exceeded expectations, expecting gambling revenue of 21 billion Macau pesos in April.

The conservative forecast for Macau's gaming revenue in April is estimated to reach 21 billion Macau patacas, with a daily average gaming revenue of approximately 700 million Macau patacas, representing a year-on-year growth of 11%.
Citibank released a research report stating that Macau's gambling revenue in March 2026 reached 22.612 billion Macau Patacas, with a daily average of about 7.29 billion Macau Patacas, a year-on-year increase of 15%, reaching about 88% of the level in March 2019. The figure exceeded their forecast of 22 billion Macau Patacas by about 3% and exceeded the market's forecast of 21.8 billion Macau Patacas by about 4%. The report pointed out that for the third consecutive month in 2026, Macau's daily gambling revenue has remained at around 7.3 billion Macau Patacas, indicating that despite the tense geopolitical situation in the Middle East and stock market volatility, gambling customers are still willing and able to spend. The bank mentioned that in April, Macau's schedule of activities remains rich, including concerts by Hong Kong singer Hacken Lee, Thai actor and singer Billkin, mainland Chinese boyband T.O.P., and the Weibo INT'L ENT Awards 2026. The bank conservatively predicts that Macau's gambling revenue in April will reach 21 billion Macau Patacas, with a daily average gambling revenue of about 7 billion Macau Patacas, meaning a year-on-year increase of 11%.
