EPI (Holdings) (00689) releases good news for shareholders. It is expected that the profit attributable to shareholders for the year 2025 will be no less than HK$4 million, turning around from a loss to a profit compared to the previous year.

EPI (HOLDINGS) (00689) announced that, compared to a loss of approximately HK$200,000 for the year ending December 31, 2024, the Group expects to achieve a profit attributable to owners of the Company of not less than HK$4 million for the 2025 financial year. The Group's turnaround from a loss to profit is mainly due to the recognition of approximately HK$3.4 million in exchange gains in the 2025 financial year due to the appreciation of the Canadian dollar and New Zealand dollar against the Hong Kong dollar (compared to an exchange loss of HK$9.4 million in the 2024 financial year); the recognition of tax credits of approximately HK$1.1 million (compared to tax expenses of HK$3.1 million in the 2024 financial year); a decrease in sales of petroleum, net of royalties, to approximately HK$63.8 million (compared to HK$73.1 million in the 2024 financial year); and a decrease in bank and other interest income to approximately HK$5.2 million (compared to HK$7.6 million in the 2024 financial year).
