On March 20th, TrendForce released the panel price trends for March 2026: TV and monitor panel prices rose, while laptop panel prices stabilized. Specific details are as follows: TV Panels In March, brands continued to prepare for upcoming promotional periods after the second quarter, including the World Cup, China's 618 promotion, and North America's Prime Day. Therefore, the demand for TV panels remained stable. Additionally, considering the rising costs of storage and various components, brand customers showed a willingness to increase early stockpiling. It is expected that panel manufacturers will take advantage of the stable demand and continue to maintain the trend of rising TV panel prices. The estimated price trend for TV panels in March is an expected increase of $1 for 32-inch, 43-inch, and 50-inch panels, $2 for 55-inch panels, and $3 for 65-inch and 75-inch panels. Monitor Panels LCD monitor panel demand remained stable in March. Although the production end of most specifications of monitors was not significantly affected by the rising prices and shortages of memory, various raw materials and components have recently followed suit, reflecting cost pressures. As a result, panel manufacturers have experienced increased costs in components and production, leading to a desire to reflect these cost pressures in price increases. Currently, there are signs of a slightly expanding price trend for monitor panels in March. For open-cell panels, the forecasted increase is between $0.3-$0.4 for a 23.8-inch FHD IPS panel and $0.3 for a 27-inch FHD IPS panel. For panel modules, the forecasted increase is $0.3 for a 23.8-inch FHD IPS panel and $0.1-$0.2 for a 27-inch FHD IPS panel. Laptop Panels Laptop (NB) panel demand maintained its momentum in March, but with the sharp rise in memory costs and recent factors such as CPU shortages and rising costs, it is expected that as we enter the second quarter, panel demand may experience adjustments when complete materials sets cannot be met. Additionally, panel manufacturers have started to feel the pressure of rising costs of various components in the upstream panel industry, rapidly squeezing their profit margins. As a result, panel manufacturers have taken a firm stance on maintaining panel prices. It is currently estimated that laptop panel prices in March will remain stable.
