On March 19th, Hong Kong dollar interest rates developed differently, with one-month Hong Kong Interbank Offered Rate (HIBOR) related to mortgages reported at 2.05446%, down 1.852 basis points, the lowest since March 12th.
On March 19, the Hong Kong dollar interbank interest rates showed mixed developments. The one-month interbank rate related to the property sector was reported at 2.05446%, a decrease of 1.852 basis points, the lowest since March 12. The three-month interbank rate, which reflects the cost of bank funds, was reported at 2.3506%, an increase of 1.06 basis points. The overnight interbank rate was reported at 1.30893%, a decrease of 13.167 basis points. The one-week interbank rate dropped by 3.53 basis points to 1.54381%, while the two-week rate decreased by 0.714 basis points to 1.93881%. In terms of longer-term interest rates, the six-month interbank rate remained unchanged at 2.60268%, while the one-year rate increased by 0.072 basis points to 2.82679%.
