American tech giant Microsoft Corporation (MSFT.US) is currently integrating its artificial intelligence product team to accelerate the development and promotion of its AI assistant Copilot. Microsoft Corporation CEO Nadella stated in an internal memo to employees on Tuesday that the company will merge the teams responsible for developing the versions of Copilot for individual and enterprise users in order to streamline the product development process and drive this artificial intelligence assistant to reach more customers faster.
As part of the adjustment, Microsoft Corporation's AI executive Jacob Andreou will lead the development team for Copilot targeting individual and enterprise users and report directly to Nadella. Andreou joined Microsoft Corporation's AI organization in 2025 and previously held a senior management position at the social media company Snap Inc (SNAP.US).
Meanwhile, Microsoft Corporation's AI executive Mustafa Suleyman will focus more on the development of artificial intelligence models to enhance Microsoft Corporation's own AI model capabilities.
Microsoft Corporation has been able to integrate artificial intelligence models into its product ecosystem relatively early, largely due to its partnership with OpenAI. Leveraging the ChatGPT technology, Microsoft Corporation has launched a series of AI tools under the Copilot brand and integrated them into various products including office software and personal applications.
As the competition in artificial intelligence intensifies, Microsoft Corporation has been simplifying its Copilot product ecosystem in recent years, reducing the number of independent products to create a more unified AI platform experience. Meanwhile, the company is increasing its investment in AI model development, aiming to gradually reduce its reliance on OpenAI technology in the future.
Nadella stated in the internal memo that the company is doubling down on investment in AI research and development, advancing its "superintelligence" strategy by integrating talent and computing power, and developing artificial intelligence models that can have a significant impact on actual products.
