National Energy Administration: The total electricity consumption of the whole society from January to February reached 1654.6 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%.
The National Energy Administration released the data on total electricity consumption for January and February.
On March 17, the National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption for January and February. In the first two months, total electricity consumption in the whole society reached 1.6546 trillion kilowatt hours, an increase of 6.1% compared to the same period last year. By industry, electricity consumption in the primary industry was 22.3 billion kilowatt hours, up 7.4% year-on-year. Electricity consumption in the secondary industry was 1.0279 trillion kilowatt hours, an increase of 6.3% year-on-year, with industrial electricity consumption increasing by 6.4% and electricity consumption in high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries increasing by 10.6%. Electricity consumption in the tertiary industry was 323.1 billion kilowatt hours, up 8.3% year-on-year, with electricity consumption in charging and swapping services and internet data services increasing by 55.1% and 46.2% respectively. Electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' living was 281.3 billion kilowatt hours, up 2.7% year-on-year.
